San Felipe ES West DLC clenches 3rd Place in PDLAI National Competition

The Drum and Lyre Corps of San Felipe Elementary School (West) placed third in their first National Competition, Junior Class Category of the 10th Tanglawan Festival PDLAI competition, with a percentage of 82.050 held on September 3, 2023, at CSJDM Sports Complex, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

The SFESW DLC puts so much effort into winning the competition as they represent the town of San Felipe and the province of Zambales. The competition was joined by six schools, and all of them showed dominion and mastery in performing their drum and lyre drills. The SFESW DLC presented Carpenter Songs, namely Top of the World, Superstar, I Need to be in Love, Yesterday Once More, and Close to You, including the Tanglawan Theme Song.

Members of the SFESW DLC were overwhelmed by joy for winning 3rd Place in the said competition as they were congratulated by their coach, Mr. Jonathan Libut, and Teacher-Coordinators, Ma’am Lalyn F. Espiritu, Ma’am Collene Mae F. Labrador, and Sir Neil Ablian for their spectacular performance. Ma’am Merilyn D. Reguindin, Principal IV of SFESW, also extended her warmest and joyous congratulations to the learners, parents, officers of DLC, and coordinator for their commendable dedication to the competition.

Ma’am Reguindin gave her gratitude to the Provincial Governor, Hon. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Congresswoman Doris “Bing” E. Maniquiz, Hon. Mayor Engr. Reinhard E. Jeresano, Hon. Vice Mayor Mary Ann Quiba, the Sangguniang bayan members of San Felipe, the sponsors, and all the people who made things possible to help the learners participate in the DLC National Competition.
